Fitness training 50+
Let me introduce myself!
My name is Evert-Jan Nienhuis and I am 55 years young. I live in Groningen, together with my wife Dorothée and childeren Babet and Jairo. I am crazy about all kinds of sports, motorcycling and going on holiday to Ameland or Spain.
At the Sportcentrum I do many different things; I organize events, manage the outdoor accommodation, am department chair of the ACLO soccer and tennis section and I give training in soccer, tennis and padel. Last but not least, I give fitness training to SPR members on Thursday mornings. During this training we start with a warm-up and stretching. Then we start with the circuit, in which we go from station to station in a certain order, about 15 different kinds. At each station we train different muscle groups for 50 seconds. Then you have 10 seconds to walk to the next station. This way we train the muscle strength in the entire body. Everyone can do the exercises at his/her own level; fast or slow, heavy or light weights, or skipping a section. Everything is allowed, nothing is a must!
During training we enjoy music from the 60s/70s and having fun is a high priority. After the training we often have a cup of coffee and a chat. The day couldn't start any better :)
See you soon,
Evert-Jan
