Dear SPR member,
After the press conference, here is a brief update.
We had hoped to continue practicing sports within the adjusted framework. Unfortunately, this is not the case and all our sports locations will be closed daily from 17.00 onwards, starting tomorrow, Sunday 28 November, until at least Sunday 19 December.
This means no indoor or outdoor sports after 17:00.
In the upcoming days, the ACLO and the Sports Centre will try to find out if there are any possibilities for an adjusted schedule in order to accommodate clubs and individual athletes where possible.
We will therefore use the current schedule up to and including Tuesday night, 30 November. After Tuesday we will look at what is possible. All activities after 17:00 will be cancelled:
The Sportsbar will also close at 17:00. In addition to the existing measures, the catering areas may only be used with a placement of 1.5 meters.
In the course of next week further information will follow about how to proceed after Wednesday December 1st.
The 76th Executive Board of the ACLO and the Sports Centre
Dear SPR member,
Last night, new stricter measures were announced by the government as of 6 p.m. tonight. The rules apply for at least three weeks until Saturday 4 December.
The following basic rules apply:
Additional measures that apply to the Sportcentrum and the ACLO:
We are happy that we can continue to keep our facilities open, but also understand that it will ask a lot of you in the coming weeks. On December 3, the situation will be reassessed by the government and we hope that it will be possible to scale up again!
The 76th Executive Board of the ACLO & Management Sportcentrum
Dear SPR member,
In this e-mail you receive an addition to the message that was sent yesterday. The sports facilities of the RUG and Hanzehogeschool are considered as a non-educational location for a part of the week. This means that from tonight, Wednesday 10 November, 18:00, on Fridays and on the weekends the QR-code scanning will be used. This means that the face mask rule is dropped at those times. So for the time being, the measure applies this week on Wednesday evening, Friday evening, Saturday and Sunday.
The possible new developments following the press conference on Friday 12 November will be included in the translation as of next week. Because of all the developments that follow each other in rapid succession, we understand that it requires a lot of flexibility from all of us.
ACLO & Management Sportcentrum
Dear SPR sporter,
New measures have been communicated by the government on Wednesday. This email lists what it means for athletes and clubs:
The basic rules mentioned below still apply:
Mandatory face masks
It is mandatory to wear a face mask in all University and Hanzehogeschool buildings when moving through the building. You may remove your face mask when you are seated.
For outdoor sports, the rules regarding the QR code check do not apply for the time being. This means that the matches and trainings can take place in the regular way, of course respecting the basic rules.
The decision of the RUG and the Hanze that this weekend in any case no QR code check needs to take place has been extended until Friday, the 12th of November, 6 PM. This gives the Sports Center and the ACLO time to properly set up the corona check. In the course of next week more information will follow on how the checks will take place.
The same rules as for the clubhouses also apply to the Sportsbar. If they are unable to enforce the face mask requirement, they will switch to checking QR codes.
On the 12th of November, the situation will be reevaluated. So it remains to be seen if and when further measures will follow. We will keep you well informed and hope, of course, that student sport will survive. In part, we have an influence on this ourselves by collectively adhering to the measures in force.
The 76th Executive Board of the ACLO & Management of the Sports center
Dear SPR member,
After some delay due to technical issues, the new website has now gone live. However, not all parts are filled or updated yet. The employees of the Sportcentrum are working hard on this.
In the past six months, the board has been working on the agreements that we have concluded with the ACLO and the Sportcentrum. No modifications have been made to the agreement with the ACLO, although a number of articles have been worded more precisely. Furthermore, an addendum has been added about the agreements with regard to the skating associations Tjas (ACLO) and KRAS (SPR).
We are in the final phase with regard to the agreements with the Sportcentrum, where the concluded DVO (Service Agreement) from 2017 will be the starting point.
We want to present the agreements to the members in the upcoming General Members Meeting. This was scheduled for Wednesday the 27th of October, 2021, but will be move to Wednesday the 8th of December 2021 from 17.30 – 18.30. The meeting can be organized in physical form again. We hope to see and meet everyone live again on the 8th of December. However, where? We are looking for a space on the Zernike Campus; the large meeting room at the Sportcentrum is currently used as a sports room, so we have to look for another place.
Soon you will receive the agenda for the GMM and a request to register for the meeting.
Furthermore, we are still looking for candidates for the board. We have 2 retiring board members and are looking for their replacement. If you are interested or would like to draw our attention to a possible candidate, please contact the board (firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com).
The official language of the GMM is Dutch. You can follow the meeting via Google meet. If you enable Captions (English), the meeting will be translated into English.
Dear SPR member,
In our previous newsletter we announced that the new website would be live I the week of August 30th. Unfortunately we are experiencing some technical difficulties and we have not been able to get it live yet. Of course we are doing our best to switch to the new website as soon as possible.
In our previous newsletter we have mentioned the sport hours of the SPR. For the sports hours by the ACLO we would like to refer you to the ACLO website www.aclosport.nl/en/schedules
The new sports season is about to start. We hope everyone has had a good summer and is back to start full of energy. Of course we all hope that in the coming period we will be able to make full use of the facilities according to a regular schedule, without (many) restrictions. Each of us can contribute to this by continuing to follow the guidelines.
At the end of next week, the new website, which was announced in the spring, will be taken into use. A new website and a new logo for the SPR. The ALV approved the new logo in March. The colors are especially new. This is in line with the colors used by the RUG and Hanze, as well as the Sportcentrum and ACLO. We (the board) are happy with the renewal of the website and the logo. Do you have comments or are you missing information? Let us know at firstname.lastname@example.org.
In October, board members Harold Hofenk and Niels Idsinga will step down as members of the board. This means that we are looking for 2 new members. Preferably, at least 1 new candidate from the members associated with Hanze University of Applied Sciences. Are you interested? Send a message to email@example.com. If you want more information about what a board position at the SPR entails, please contact Irma Koornstra (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Schedule for SPR members
From August 30, the new schedule will start for the year 2021/2022 with the exception of Karate on Saturday. This class will start from Saturday September 11th.
A one-time registration is required for the group classes Yoga, Pilates and Kickboxing. You can register by sending us an email at email@example.com. If you have already had contact with us about this in the past summer period, it is not necessary to email again.
We will also start again with the beginner’s course swimming for certificate A. You can register through the form on our website.
