Dear SPR members,
The first phase of our reopening went very well! We are therefore pleased that we have been able to further expand our sports schedule this week. In this article from the UKrant you can read more about how things are going and get an impression of the atmosfeer.

Specific SPR outdoor activities such as yoga / pilates and training for the skating group.
For the group of retirees, the lessons will continue online for the time being.
Swimming recreational (SPR / ACLO).
Beach volleyball recreational (SPR / ACLO).
In addition, football, hockey and swimming for student sports associations.
From this week on, in addition to singles, doubles can also be played in tennis and padel. The temporarily halls covering the majority of the tennis courts will be removed next week (June 2th and 3th with an extension to June 4th), increasing tennis capacity from 4 to 12 tennis courts starting from June 5th.
A schedule of group lessons and available times of other sports activities are provided on the ACLO website when you login.
Protocols Due to government measures surrounding the Coronavirus, all activities take place naturally within the correct protocols. Therefore, please read the protocols before visiting the Sportcentrum or Swimming pool (WAS). The current protocols that apply are available on the ACLO website.
Participation procedure How does it work to participate?
You can register for a group lesson or make a reservation for a court through the ACLO website www.aclosport.nl. Log in with your staff number (RUG) or 4-letter code (Hanze). This is possible from 8 days prior to an activity.
You can make a maximum of one reservation; after you participated you can sign up thenext day for a new group lesson or make a court reservation.
Because of the still limited range of sports options, we hope to offer every SPR and ACLO member a fair chance to sign up for the activities.
If you cannot attend a group lesson or court reservation, please cancel in advance.
We hope to be able to expand are sport activities more in the coming weeks according to the guidelines and new options from the government. Please keep an eye out on the SPR and ACLO website for more information.

Update May 16th 2020 Reopening ACLO Sportscentre
Dear athletes, From Monday the 18th onwards, we will start offering outdoor sports again at the Sportscentre! In the context of the government measures concerning COVID-19, it is important that our reopening will start in phases and in a controlled manner. Therefore, we will initially start with a limited sports offer. In other words, this means outdoor sports with - at all times - a distance of 1,5 meters between athletes.
Sports offer From Monday the 18th onwards we will start with the following sports: Tennis/Padel and various group lessons. After placing a reservation, all Cardholders (SPR and ACLO) can make use of our sports offer. Since it’s not yet allowed to exercise indoors, the group lessons will be moved outside to the running track behind the Sportscentre. Due to the Corona measures, a maximum of 15 participants will be used and reservation via the ACLO website for both group lessons and a tennis or padel court is required.
On Sunday the 17th of May, the protocols concerning ‘responsible’ exercising will be
posted on the ACLO-website. These protocols are based on the guidelines set by the government regarding the Corona virus. As an athlete, it is mandatory to follow the guidelines in this protocol.
You can register for a group lesson or make a reservation for a tennis or padel court
by logging in with your staff number or 4-letter code (Hanze), through the ACLO website. You can register or make a reservation 8 days in advance. You can make a maximum of one reservation; after you participate in a group lesson or reservation, you can register for something else again. Due to our limited sports offer we hope to give every ACLO and SPR member a fair chance in participation.
If you cannot attend a class or reservation for which you have registered, you mustcancel it.
The changing and shower facilities at the Sports centre are closed. Make sure you
change clothes at home and return home immediately after your lesson or reservation. Toilet use at the Sports centre is only possible in exceptional cases.
Walking directions are indicated at the Sportscentre so that in combination with
following the protocols we can jointly create the safest possible sports environment. We, therefore, count on your cooperation and obedience of our instructions. Start-up other sports In the following weeks, we will gradually expand the range of sports. We hope to build up our regular sports offer within the existing guidelines as soon as possible. We will also pay close attention to the wishes of the SPR sports associations and other specific SPR activities. In addition, there will be clarity as soon as possible concerning the availability of the swimming pool in the Willem-Alexander Sports complex. We expect to be able to inform you about this next week.

Update 8 May 2020
Dear SPR athletes, We are very happy to have more space for sports activities!
Last night (7th of May), the Government indicated that from May 11th outdoor sports will also be possible again for people over the age of 18 with 1.5m distance. Competitions and use of changing rooms and showers are not allowed. In addition, indoor pools may open the doors again.
As it seems now, from September 1st, there is again perspective on the practice of all sports (indoor and outdoor) for all ages. This also applies to sportsmatches without an audience and sports canteens / clubhouses seem to be able to open again. It remains to be seen whether this space will actually be created and what conditions are attached to it. Also for events there will be more space after September 1st at the earliest.
What does this mean for you as athletes in the short term? Because elaborating a phased reopening with an appropriate sports offer requires careful preparation, we cannot start again immediately next Monday, the 11th of May. This is also due to the large size and diversity of activities, in which we would like to give as many athletes as little space as possible to exercise. We therefore like to involve the wishes of the SPR, the sports associations, representatives of the unbound athlete and other parties involved in the elaboration. We hope to be able to provide more clarity next week and then start as soon as possible. We may be using small pilots next week to be able to organize further opening in a responsible manner.
More information will follow via the website of the SPR and ACLO.
